はじめに

コンピューター上で利用できるフランス語関連の辞書について、備忘録として、現在購入や Download 可能な実用性のある辞書のリストをメモしておく。2011/07/08 現在、リンク切れなどで入手できないものは省略する。

Hyper Estraier による索引化と検索

EPWING 形式の Wikipedia データをモバイル PC や iPhone、iPad などの携帯端末に入れてオフラインで利用している方も多いだろう。 Project Bookends の尽力で、数式・図版・表組み・クロス検索・ユニコード外字拡張表示・あいまい検索等の拡張が組み込まれた EPWING 変換済みデータが自由にダウンロードできるので、FreePWING や Wikipedia-fpw を利用して各自で変換する作業さえ必要なくなった。私自身も利用させていただいている。

辞書.app を活用する (3)

前回の記事 で EPWING (JISX4081) 形式から Apple の辞書.app のフォーマットへ変換できるか試してみた。幸いにしてうまく変換できたようだったが、Windows・Linux・Mac OS X と OS を渡り歩かねばならず、少し手順がややこしい上に、辞書ごとに特有の記述法もあるので、すべてのケースでうまくいくとは限らないだろう (PDIC for Win32 で EPWING/EB から PDIC 形式に変換し、動作が確認された CD-ROM 一覧 が報告されている。ただし当然ながら完全動作は保証されない)。

先日の記事 で、 Babylon Dictionary を Apple の「辞書.app」でサポートされているフォーマットに変換して使用する方法を試みた。今回は EPWING (JISX4081) 形式の辞書を Mac OS X の辞書.app フォーマットにできるか試してみたい。この試みはすでに、こちらのページ でなされているが、今回は異なったアプローチで試してみる。

Practical Use of Apple’s Dictionary (2)

I wrote some articles about the way of converting StarDict dictionaries into the Apple’s Dictionary format by means of DictUnifier.app, but it does not seem that all of StarDict dictionaries can be always easily converted into Apple’s format. Quite a few errors were reported remaining unsolved on the bulletin board of the project “mac-dictionary-kit”.

Practical Use of Apple’s Dictionary

In the article of the other day, having the same title as this one but in Japanese, I mentioned the way of adding the StarDict dictionaries to the Apple’s Dictionary.app. As I made on my page some links to jalasthāna which contains a lot of nice Tips especially for Asian studies, I left a short message to his article which concerned the use of StarDict. As a response to my brief message, he kindly introduced my blog on his yesterday’s posting, even taking the trouble to read Japanese with Google Translator. So this time, I will post the almost same content in English, hoping that this is a bit of benefit to Mac-Users who read his articles and that my English ability somewhat surpass the robotic linguist…

Mac OS X 上での EPWING 辞書の利用

先日の記事 で Mac OS X の「辞書.app」の利用について書いたが、電子辞書の標準形式である EPWING (JISX4081) の辞書を所有している方も多いだろう。現在 Mac OS X 上で EPWING 形式の辞書を検索できるアプリケーションには以下のような選択肢がある。

Apple の辞書.app

Mac OS X を購入して以来しばらく、その標準アプリケーションである「辞書.app」をあまり使用しなかった。辞書.app 標準搭載の辞書類は Epwing 形式で別途所有していたので、あえてそれを使用しなくても良かった、ということがあったのだが、辞書.app は Cocoa アプリケーション上で「Control + Command + D」を押すとポップアップで辞書が引け (銭谷版 Carbon Emacs でも可能)、この機能が実に便利なのである。
